About Me!
Hey!
I’m John Beltre {They/Them} and I am New York City based Costume Designer for Film and for Theatre. I’ve been in the theatre/entertainment world since I was a Freshman in High School. I started out as a performer but it wasn’t until my Sophomore year in College that I discovered my love for Costume Design.
I’ve been into the Fashion Industry, so a lot of my work references either current Fashion Trends or makes references to major Fashion trends from the past. I love it when Fashion/clothes meets art and blend to make an interesting piece,
In College, I majored in English, and because of that I have a huge connection with classical literature and Literature in general. I love dissecting any piece that I am working on to find a deeper meaning/ to appreciate the choices the writer made. I love it when I get use my English training in my Designs.

Who Are They?
They are a lover of the Horror genre! They are a total horror movie buff.
You can mostly find them in a random coffee shop buying a seasonal drink or something with Caramel”
If you see them out and about they are mostly zoned out listening to music or in their own little world.
